This violin is one of four featured models from Jay Haide’s renowned L’Ancienne range. These violins are a testament to the quality produced by world -class European luthiers, Jay Ifshin and Haide Lin. The four models, Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesu, Guadagnini and Balestrieri are each distinct and created with meticulous attention to detail.
Jay Haide violins are elegantly antiqued using specially formulated varnish. These violins have intricately carved scrolls, f-holes and top and back archings with precisely fitted ebony pegs and a Despiau “Superieur” bridge.
Jay Haide violins have a Wittner tailpiece, an ebony tailpiece with the single “E” string tuner. It comes with a choice of Dominant, Tonica, Larson or D’Addario strings as well as a case and bow.
With Warmth and tonal qualities reminiscent of old European instruments, Jay Haide violins have a better sound quality than instruments at three times the price. These violins are used by many professional string players in orchestras whilst on tour. The L’Ancienne range is the only choice for serious musicians and connoisseurs alike.
“These hand made instruments are by far the best in their price range”
John Reid (Leader of the English Haydn Orchestra)
